When holding an escrima stick, always allow enough room (approximately one fist length) at the bottom of your weapon. This converts one stick into two useful weapons. The top section can be swung like a sword and the end section can be used for butting techniques at close combat range whilst, providing greater leverage and impact power when fighting.
