The Meaning of Karate Belt Colours
White - White-belt Karate is the entry level of this powerful martial art. The colour of the beginner's belt stands for the birth of a new light. Blitz offers cheap Karate belts for starting Karatekas.
Red - Red-belt Karate is the second grading a karate practitioner can achieve. The colour red symbolises the depth of knowledge of the Karateka and their ability to use this knowledge in an effective manner.
Yellow - The yellow-belt grading symbolises the first ray of sunlight. The student's mind should now be open to a wider range of techniques and methods.
Orange - Orange symbolises the way sunlight spreads over the earth. The student is expanding their knowledge.
Green - Stems and roots are reaching out to the sunlight. The student is developing new skills and mastering more techniques.
Purple - The purple-belt grading indicates the student is dedicated to the path of Karate and to working up to higher levels.
Blue - The plant is growing up towards the blue sky. The student is going deeper to understand each move and differentiate between them.
Brown - The brown-belt grading symbolises a fully grown plant which is ready for the harvest. The Karateka is ready for combat.
Black - Black-belt Karate is the most advanced form of Karate. Just as every bright light is followed by a shadow, the black-belt Karate practitioner has mastered all Karate skills and is able to enlighten others with their knowledge.
How Far Will You Go?
Whether you have the "shadow" of the black-belt Karate level or are the "birth of a new light" at the white-belt Karate level, Blitz's Karate belts are a Karateka's first choice.
