This kimono fit me perfectly, the quality of the material and tailoring is very high quality, all I have to do is go to training and test it in practice.
By Matt on 6/9/2019
I put this gi to the test the other night and have to say I love it. I'm very happy with this gi, it's comfortable, dose not restrict my movements, it's japanese cut ( thats a bonus for me as i prefer japanese cut ) and it's well made and will stand the test of time! Highly recommended, I dont think I'll be using anything else but my Blitz white diamond, it's a great upgrade from anything else I have owned!
By Paul young on 12/2/2019
Brilliant suit though after two years of hell the trousers between the thighs get very weak but considering I haven't had a suit that has lasted me that long!
By Mo on 2/10/2018
Possibly the best all round suit. 14oz for advanced practitioners or those who like heavy suits, two trousers, slightly tapered fit and robust ties. These suits lasts a very long time.
By Mark Watson on 14/6/2018
Fabulous quality and comes with an extra pair of kumite trousers and all in a lovely bag
By John Clift on 1/5/2018
This is by far a first class gi, i have several of these, the oldest is over 10 years old, and is still in first class shape. If there is one problem with them, its that they should be WKF approved.
By Maisy on 8/4/2018
Great gi nice weight to it
By Joe on 17/3/2018
Amazing quality. I have used white diamond for years and swear by them.
By Harriet Richert on 11/3/2018
Nice crisp, not too heavy gi. I'm a size 4 (5ft 5in female, average build) in every other gi I've bought but a size 3 of this one was a tad too small. 3.5 fits well.
By T. Hogan on 12/2/2018
Lovely suit, kumite pants are nice. Service was excellent.
By Yadanca on 19/1/2018
Fab suit
By Peter Davis on 29/12/2017
Excellent quality, I use it 3 times a week. Just a shame they were out of stock when I wanted to order another shortly after the first had been tried and tested.
By Zenon on 2/10/2017
Hi. Quality of karate GI is perfect. But size is not to fit on me. Just to big. I shrink in 95 degrees. Now is perfect.
By Rob Fountain on 19/9/2017
Very sharp and relatively heavy, certainly heavier than any other gi that I have had. Ordered a 170 cm model with my 179 cm: jacket fits great, kata pants length is right on the spot, with the bottom reaching the ankles when tied around the waist; on the other hand, kumite pants feel a bit too long even when tied practically under the chest. Anyway it is a very nice gi, fantastic quality.
By Matt Kelly on 16/8/2017
It is what it is a very good GI
By Chloe on 30/7/2017
This Gi is an excellent quality and very sharp. I have just ordered a second one.im 5'1 and have a 145cm as read some reviews that it came up big. I am ordering my second in 150cm as does have a little shrinkage in a 30°C cotton wash.
By Jeff on 6/5/2017
Great quality gi at a sensible price. Sturdy and hard wearing without being scratchy, with the two trouser styles being a really useful addition.
By Angel Kirov on 22/4/2017
this gi is beyond of my expectations, when i order it was a bit sceptic, because i only use japanise tokaido, now im very satisfied and looking to buy one more!!!
By Jean T. on 7/4/2017
Great quality. Fast delivery.Daughter extremely happy.
By Matthew on 6/4/2017
top quality at a great price
By John Palice on 15/2/2017
Excellent quality as advertised.
By Robert B. Franks on 27/11/2016
This Gi comes with draw string trousers and elasticated waist trousers. The material is heavy which makes a nice "snap" when moving and gives good feedback to technique. This Gi is best hung dry. Previous ones kept shrinking after every wash until I put them on a cool wash and stopped putting them in the tumble drier. To keep it from shrinking, wash on cool and hang dry it.One drawback is that it is a little heavy for mid summer use. Also if you only use one type of trouser (elasticated waist in my case) then you end up with unused trousers. Overall the best Gi I have found so far for Japanese karate but I have had to throw away the ones I shrunk in the wash.
By Elaine Rumsey on 10/11/2016
This was for my husband, he was very pleased with the quality and how it's washed up, thankyou
By Simon Watts on 24/10/2016
Brilliant suit fits true to size, designed to have longer jacket and shorter trousers
By Nick Timpson on 19/8/2016
Excellent value. Needs to be washed with fabric conditioner.
By Aidan on 27/6/2016
Superb, comfortable even when it gets quite warm & a well fitting Gi. This is one of the top Gi's, well worth the investment
By Chris Fuller on 28/5/2016
Brilliant quality gi
By Vince on 18/3/2016
Heavy fabric
By Charlie on 26/1/2016
Very good quality very pleased with this suit
By Mrs J Wills on 1/1/2016
Excellent quality. Perfect fit
By Fox Miller on 4/12/2015
Exceptionally well made suit with great sizing, comes with 2 sets of trousers, Japanese cut for Kata and European cut for kumite. A bit of a mix up for posting but dealt with well with a refund on posting.
By Fraser on 6/8/2015
Great suit, very comfortable. Slightly different cut from the Silver Tournament Gi I am used to with a longer length jacket. Will definitely be back for another.
By J Chung on 5/8/2015
A great gi, a great snap but slightly heavier than I'm used to.
By Eduardo Gama on 5/8/2015
Really nice fit and extremely comfortable.
By Steve (Blackdan) Hutton on 5/8/2015
This is a hard wearing gi for hard working karateka. The one I am presently using must have been machine washed and dried at least 150 times, yet all the ties are still sound and despite some wear around the collar the gi is still giving excellent service. I would and I do recommend this gi to all serious karateka.
By Fidler on 5/7/2015
Very happy with the gi so far. The material is crisp but soft; much better than my old maijin one. One complaint though - the trousers with the elasticated band are almost 3 inches longer than the draw string ones! I have no idea why this is because they both say 175 on them. Are they expecting me to pull the trousers up to my nipples?!
By Mr. J. R. Davidson on 23/6/2015
My first Gi so I can't really make a comparison with others. This is extremely well made. The fabric is very heavy and very stiff making it both feel good and helps make that lovely "snap" sound on punches and kicks. It should also hold up to all the rough and tumble you can throw at it.The cut of the suit is really good with slightly shorter sleeves and shaped kata trousers and looser kumite trousers which give you a really buff look even if your out of shape like myself.Suit washes well, I would recommend using a whitening solution or similar and to wash separately to keep it looking spotless. The only downside is that due to the heavy fabric it is really hot in the summer
By Kira on 26/4/2015
Excellent quality of suit. I ordered a larger size than I needed, as I would have for the student quality gi, but found it is far too big. Have washed it once and am hoping it will shrink! A good gi but don't order too large a size.
By Roger Bennett on 16/3/2015
Returning to karate practice after a long absence, I recently purchased two new White Diamond karate-gi to replace the two originals which had given me some five years of continuous service and heavy use when I first bought them.
In my modest opinion, the White Diamond karate-gi is simply the best non-Japanese-manufactured dogi which I have come across: the heavyweight , 14oz canvas cotton make it extremely durable, the cut and sizing allows free movement; and the inclusion of both traditional, Japanese-cut, pants and European-cut kumite pants make it excellent value for money. It is the go-to staple of my Martial Arts wardrobe.
Furthermore, Blitz's customer service is EXCELLENT.
By Neil Griffin on 28/11/2014
I have bought 3 of these this year. I did have to return a couple of them because of faults with the stitching, but this was handled brilliantly and the return postage was free. I obviously like this Gi as I've bought 3. The only negative thing I would say is that the fabric on all 3 of them is slightly different. This is most notable on the inside. The first one I purchased is fine, the second is softer and even more comfortable, and the third is actually quite rough against the skin but still wearable. Would be 5 star if fabric was consistent.
By symone hodson on 22/11/2014
Absolutely love all the suits I get from Blitz, good quality and fast service. Highly recommended! !!!
By W Langton on 21/11/2014
The white diamond is the perfect Gi for those who train hard, and enjoy hard wearing equipment. I have 3 of these Gi's and each one is still in wearable condition. Even my first white diamond that has done 5 years of nightly training! Just brilliant as usual.
By John casey 4th Dan on 21/11/2014
A great quality karate suit, comfortable and well made, easy to train in. Washes well and stays white, I highly recommend this product.
By Hatch on 12/11/2014
Great heavy (but not too heavy) weight suit. Heavy enough for great moves and Gi crack but not too heavy. Two trouser styles great for kumite and those who cannot get the right fit with standard tie fit. Great suit.
By Sensei natacha on 11/11/2014
In all the years I have been training/teaching, this is my most favourite gi by far. It fits really well, extremely comfortable washes really well and looks professional.
By Sarah on 11/11/2014
Great suit, ideal for tournaments, nice heavy weight suit fits well, good value too.
By Martin Simkins on 10/11/2014
I was recommended this Gi by a fellow instructor at my club. I have had this for about 18 months now and have to say it's the best Gi I have ever owned. It comes with traditional Kata and Kumite trousers, I favour the Kata trousers at all times as the length is more appropriate for my height. The fit is brilliant and you can hear such a satisfying snap, it makes me want to train harder. I would recommend this Gi to everyone who enjoys karate. Great product.
By trieda hill on 10/11/2014
I love this gi. I always recommend this to my black belt students. Its hard wearing but really comfortable. I love the traditional trousers with the ties. Its my special occasion gi.
By Alan on 10/11/2014
I always chose Blitz White Diamond Gi. Good feel, good snap and best fit for me. Mine last me three to four years. Would recommend to anyone.
By Nigel on 10/11/2014
Looks great, feels great and a great snap.
By Richard Hang Hong on 10/11/2014
I've used the White Diamond gi for almost 20 years now. It's always been an excellent shape, cut to just the right lengths on the jacket and shorter trousers and with the least amount of shrinkage compared to other heavyweight gis. At 5'5" I find the full length trousers too long for me but I prefer the tie waist and shorter length trousers anyway.
I recommend all of my students to get this when they make the change from lightweight to heavyweight gi and they love them as much as I do!
By philip mccarthy on 13/9/2014
i have my white diamond since 2006 (8 years) wear it twice weekly still fits and still perfect ..Have suits that cost a lot more and it still runs second to none of them. mine is a 4.5 175 cm. only thing had a problem with was with the kata pair of pants the draw strings would'nt gather the waist tight enough. I over came this by cutting the cloth coving the string like curtains.
By Matt Savigear on 12/9/2014
This is now my go-to gi whenever I need to refresh my uniform. They are hard-wearing and sit well with the longer jacket staying in place much better than other makes during hard work or serious contact. The extra kumite trousers are really useful too, I find traditional tie-top ones annoying and uncomfortable!
The only bad thing for me is that after my next grading I'll need a black one, and they don't make this version in that colour!
By Bruno on 15/6/2014
I first bought the SILVER GI from BLITZ that is a very good suit but i wanted to give a try at the DIAMOND one . What can i say , the DIAMOND is really at all regards a top gi with a super cut as well as a super cotton quality and the second kumite trouser with elastic waist pants that goes with the traditional kata one is the best one i ever wear! So for me the WHITE DIAMOND GI is definitly my choice for training and kumite contest ! I dont like the thin kumite suits that most competitors are using nowadays, i really think that a heavy gi like the DIAMOND is definitly a better choice with a solid and great look ! The DIAMOND is not too heavy, it is just the perfect wheight and cut for all type of Karate training! Let me suggest for thoses who really lifts to much weight at the gym as me to take from two to four size above depending on your weight and size balance. You will feel much more comfortable in your training. As an exemple,I am 165cm for 80 kg (176 LBS) and I took the 185 that is perfect ! i definitly had to shortened the sleeves and length of the vest and pants but now i have almost à tailormade Gi . So if you need a perfect Gi for a great price and still with a cut above the rest ,then go for the Diamond !!! All the best to the members of the BLITZ TEAM who are doing their best to give us satisfaction with our passion needs!
By Michelle on 3/1/2014
I purchased this item for my son, as he wanted a heavy weight Gi. This is perfect, it is excellent quality, very thick cotton and heavy weight. It is just what we wanted.
By John Carlow on 5/12/2013
I cannot fault the White Diamond. They are hard wearing, comfortable and give you a good "Thwack!" when performing techniques. I have been wearing them for a number of years and couldn't be happier. If you are committed to the art and you're looking for a "next level" gi after your bog standard 8oz cotton job then this really is the one for you, they even do half sizes. Buy one today, you wont look back...
By MIke on 5/12/2013
Simply the best Karate Gi in the UK. Heavy weight and a very nice cut.
By Keith Burns - Kaizen Karate Club on 5/12/2013
I have been training and teaching Karate now for almost 35 years. During this time I have worn mostly Tokaido Karate Gis , but since purchasing my first Diamond white Karate Gi last year Its unlikley that I will be buying another Tokaido Gi, the Diamond White Gi is outstanding quality and a great price.
By M Johns on 10/10/2013
I have had my suit for over a years and wear it twice a week, washed after every very sweaty training session - first class suit and very good value for money, The Kata trousers are a perfect jap cut.
By Chris on 8/10/2013
This one is the dog's do dahs. I have tried 16 ounce gis to get the "snap" compared to much lighter ones, but they are too heavy when it comes to washing and ironing. The White Diamond is a better compromise on weight and really looks the part. We now encourage it as a uniform for the instructors, and some other high graded students have opted to go for this now as well.
By Shihan TJ Brown on 8/10/2013
I insist that all my Dan Grades wear the White Diamond Karate Gi.
It is a high quality Gi that lends itself nicely to embroidery. It is tough around the seems and stands up to our robust Aikido training. Highly recommended to all Aikido Schools.
By Sensei Marsh on 18/9/2013
My first one lasted a year but I wore it 13 hours per week. The ties came off, holes under the arms and the usual grated look along all edges, its as if I've worn it for 30 years. That said, it is a good gi and I have since bought another which is wearing better. I would recommend.
By Craig on 22/7/2013
I had a 190 gi which after washing regularly on a cool wash shrunk considerably. Beware they shrink quite a bit. Good gi. Well made, nice shape, great weight. My mate (whos a 170) loves it .#handmedowns
By Claire brown on 15/4/2013
I have had several white diamond suits from blitz, lovely quality suit which gives a nice crack/snap. Comes with 2 pairs of trousers one for kata and the other for kumite. :)
By Lee Mullan on 3/2/2013
The White Diamond gi is my preferred karate-gi. A nice, heavy weight and a very nice cut. The additional pair of trousers is a bonus, but too long (kumite cut) for me. I have to get these shortened. I've been wearing the White Diamond gi for over ten years. 9/10
By Sensei Charlotte on 3/8/2012
i've always had Blitz Gi's but this is my first heavy weight Gi. the longer cut jacket looks great on and fitting for a Black belt, feels great on and is really easy to move in without riding up and sounds great when doing punches kicks etc.
By Chris Stronnar on 11/7/2012
This is my second purchase of the white diamond Gi...its not because it was faulty or it wore out...it was because my wonderful fiance washed it with a brand new blue scarf, therefore my first gi is now tinged a lovely shade of blue :0) Its is in my opinon still the best gi you can buy and in the future she will not be washing any more gi's of mine
By David Dodson on 9/7/2012
this gi is the best of the best i bought my first one about 15 years ago still wear it from time to time i own 5 white diamond gi and am just about to order one for a student outstanding
By Philip Mccarthy on 11/2/2012
i have mine since 2006, and love it, still perfect.
By Toughenglish on 7/12/2011
I bought this Gi reading the other reviews and I don't feel sorry. It is a good quality, it fits very well and has a nice snap, too.I would recommend because it's good value for money.
By Mick Golden on 17/10/2011
Finally i can buy a gi and just wear it rather than having to get it taylored first. First class.
By Chris Stronnar on 23/7/2011
Fantastic Gi ideal for kata or kumite. The cut is excellent as im larger than average and it stiil allows easy movement and has a wonderful snap. I would recomend this Gi to anyone from novice to Sensei...
By Mark Knight on 13/4/2011
Simply the best Karate Gi in the UK. I bought this Gi recently as my other heavyweight suits were looking a bit worse for wear. The cut of the White Diamond Gi is second to none and is very comfortable to wear. The longer length jacket fits really well and the two pairs of trousers have plenty of room for high kicks and deep stances. I have tried several other Gi's from other manufacturers and although they were my size they never seemed to fit just right (eg trousers too tight around the thighs and calf, jacket riding up etc). I would not even consider buying anything else now!
By K.Barlow on 28/2/2011
Highly recommended sold 20 to date, it's one of the best Gi's, top quality product,
By Mark Laybourn on 21/11/2010
I have tried all of the Blitz karate suits and keep coming back to the white diamond. It is the best all rounder with separate pants for kata or kumite. Highly recommended!
By Sensei Ken on 12/11/2010
I have had my Gi for nearly 3 years now and its seems to get better every time I wear it. I had to get a 190 as I am of a bigger than average size but because of the cut it still fitted around the arms and legs.
Would recommend it to anyone who enjoys traditional Karate as it has an excellent "snap" when performing Kata/techniques
