The UFC Thai Pad. This is the ultimate training shield for blocking punches, elbows, kicks, and knee strikes. The bottom hook/loop strap secures around the outside of the forearm, near the elbow. The top grip bar is held with the palm of the hand facing the shield, allowing the user to have precise control to block forceful strikes. Sold singulary. Made from synthetic leather. A great lightweight, manouverable pad that due to its sheer lightness doesn't weigh on the arms at all. Absorbs impact pretty well although would recommend heavier duty pads if you've got a real strong kicker. Only criticism of the pad is the top grip bar which is too proud and rigid to feel comfortable for me but that may just be a matter of getting used to the different positon as most thai pads have quite a close fitting grip bar allowing you to lay your under forearm along the length of the bad... not so with this one though. Overall though a good pad.
