Price was good and arrived next day, well packed in bubble wrap. Good weight to it and nice smooth finish. I would have preferred standard shipping but because if its weight it had to go next day, which made postage more expensive but I can understand because it's a pretty huge thing to ship. Very pleased with it.
Bo arrived in 24 hrs. Very well packaged. Item is excellent quality...well grained solid straight wood. Good weight in the hands and nicly finished. Looks as though it will last for years!
I've been practising with a self made bo for the last few weeks and this is a fantastic step up. An amazing price (considering some are up to £60), even though it's made in China and not Japan it is of excellent quality and is a perfect first bo. The wood feels and smells of quality, the red oak was common in Western Japan so I felt compelled to respect my geography. Don't be scared about the weight, I was pleasantly surprised - expecting it to be much heavier - and was able to build up speed in my spins without much trouble. Bear in mind I'm a 6ft1\" 23yo male with good strength. If you are like me either the red or white oak bo is for you. If you are younger or know that you are not very strong perhaps look for a wax wood or rattan bo, but you might just be better to start with oak and get stronger faster :) I'll be back to buy more in the future, delivery was also extremely fast!
I have used this, and other versions, for my own training for years. Good Quality, Good Price. I have just acquired a large quantity for my students. If you want a lighter one for younger students, the White Wax Wood one is hard but significantly lighter than the Red or White Oak. I also have the Rattan ones with and without skin for own use but they do take some getting used to and the bend and hence \"twang\" some when wielded so be careful with them.
My Sensei ordered me this Bo and I love it. Heavy but not too much. Nicely balanced! Great texture and the wood smells of real quality!
Excellent value for money this bo has a decent weight and you can trash it around. Only downside is that it may be a little to heavy for the younger student.
Strong, weighty staff. Ideal for training but probably a bit heavy for 'faster' kata's. Exactly what I was looking for.
Still new to practising with a Bo, and this is my first one. Very happy with it, as it was good value, very quickly delivered, and does the job well. In hindsight, I may have opted for a non-varnished one, as found this one doesn't slide through sweaty palms as easily as it should, but have been advised a light sanding should sort that out.
Good weight, great price, speedy delivery. Thank you once again.
A strong light Bo staff, great for freestyle practise.
Great Bo for a beginner or intermediate user. Good weight, and cheep enough that you won’t be afraid to bash it about.
Good value for money and good quality. I have used these bo for some years and never broken one in partner practice yet. Can be a bit heavy for the smaller student.
