Minimise the risk of injury and train in confidence with the incredibly lightweight Blitz Double Padded Dipped Foam Head Guard. Ideal for Karate, Taekwondo and other Martial Arts training, the shock absorbing foam head guard is designed to absorb high impact blows, with double the protection to the forehead, ears and rear of the head when sparring. The head guard is specifically shaped to reduce uncomfortable neck pressure at the back and includes ear guards for the ultimate protection. Made from a soft EVA foam dipped in PVC resin, and vacuum moulded to finish, the head guard also features ventilation holes for air flow and to prevent moisture build-up, keeping the wearer cool. Securely fastens with an elastic Velcro strap under the chin for a comfortable and easy adjustable fit. Easy to wipe clean before and after use.
To determine the correct size head guard, measure the distance around the whole of the head at the widest point (just above the ears) as depicted in the diagram.

It is excellent for karate, fitting is good, the protection it gives is excellent and it gives the student, and the parents, much more confidence. It also looks quite cool. The extra padding across the forehead gives extra protection and the sides of the head-guard cover right down his jaw line. All in all a good head guard for the money and my son likes it as well. The double padding makes it strong enought to take powerful hits and it's even usable for use against bokens, tonfas or Bo staffs. It's very light and comfortable. Has a very good price and good quality.
The only thing I disliked, is that it doesn't protect your face (and I took a hell of a punch on the face last time I used it). For that, I'll cut one star on the rating.
Besides that little flaw, I totally recommend this helmet..... except if you whant your face guarded as well. By James Chapman on 22nd February 2012 I use this head guard for sparring. It is very light yet well padded it perfect for semi contact sparring where you need agility and it doesn't hurt if you do get hit. I would definitely recommend it.
