I like the gi, nice weight, not to heavy for sparring, but good enough for kata. My only dislike is its a euro cut, it would be nice to have a japanese cut option. For this reason white diamond will still be my first choice.
Absolutely fantastic Karate Gi. From someone who has done everything from competing to now instructing, this Gi is one of the best i've ever owned. As its a mid weight Gi its got a nice weight to it and quite baggy as well in order to give you much deeper stances without any restrictions. I love the traditional style to this Gi with the high waisted trousers as well as the cotton canvas material which provides a great snap. I am glad however that I ordered one size smaller than what I normally have (Im 6’2” and normally go for a 190cm) as the jacket is quite baggy, maybe a little too baggy for my taste. But overall a really great quality Gi for the price and would not take too much in order to make this Gi competition legal. The bag is a nice touch too.
I really like this Gi a lot, I teach Karate and also train still. I own so many Gi's, lightweight Gi's from Blitz and others, and also the White Diamond and the Silver Tournament. and I've often found myself alternating depending upon application, Heavyweight for Kata and lightweight for Kumite, In this Gi I have something that feels good for both, 12oz feels like the right compromise point.
The Gi is light and roomy, I find that the jacket is pleasantly roomy for my broader frame, especially around the shoulders and neck, where I have felt somewhat \"strangled\" by heavierweight tighter cut Gi's. I am 5ft 10 and 95kg and the size 5 fits wonderfully, there is plenty of room in the arm and leg for someone a few inches taller.
I really like the fact that it is preshrunk, so that I'm not playing guess the shrinkage margin when buying. I wear a 5.5 in the white diamond, and when washed, that Gi is tighter than this in a 5.
I'm not a fan of the chest and back \"Blitz\" embroidery, and I would have liked to have seen the same heavier hemming detail in the arm and leg ends that the white diamond has, and an elasticated trouser, but other than that these things would not put me off buying this suit again.
Absolutely brilliant. I just love design of Zanshin with that twist. Jacket and trousers draw strings can be more robust. Would have been perfect if the Blitz logo was not on the front of the suit. I'm 1.75 -95kg and i wish you do make 1.75cm. Any way gi is 5*
I purchased this Gi for international competition as a replacement to my 7oz. I can safely say that this is the highest quality Gi that I have owned and offers a great range of movement without an excess of material.
The only issue I have experienced with this Gi is that I had to unpick the Blitz stitching on the front and back of the jacket to meet competition regulations. If it wasn't for this, I would happily give 5 stars.
Great weight suit, which was the Blitz Silver. Comfortable, ideal for advancing students. Jacket draw strings can be more robust as these do tear with use. Would have been perfect if the Blitz logo was not on the front of the suit.
This is a great gi. Just had my first training session in it. It feels really good, perfect material and 170 cm was a great fit for me (179 cm). Purple tags are subtle enough, and mine didn't have the blitz branded embroidery on front or back, which I am very happy with. Very happy with my purchase!
Well I have to say the Zanshin gi is fantastic, very well made and for an affordable price too, very comfortable and has that great snapping sound we all want whilst doing kata in training or competition. It is also lighter than the white diamond only by 2 ounces which makes a difference when it comes to kumite you feel 2 ounces lighter 😆, it's a great feel and the bag it comes in is really funky and super thick too keep your gi dry 😊 very satisfied!
Gi is awesome! The big Blitz logo on front and back can be unpicked. The gi is on the big side, but totally worth it. So comfortable. It is a must buy gi!
Suit is excellent nice weight and feels great however jacket is bigger than expected compared to other Gis.
Great suit. Well made and fantastic on. Only drawback is jacket is on the big side hence the 4 stars.
The zanshin is a quality gi 👍👍🥋🥋
Its a really nice gi. Its a longer fit than the silver tournament.
And i wear a 5.5 silver tournamnet (im 6”1 but like a snug fit I teach Japanese Jiu Jitsu and extra cloth is a bad thing) but the 5 zanshin top fits me great.
Would be amazing if you removed the 'blitz' embroidery from the front.
Great high quality gi, It is comfortable to train in, not to heavy and not to light and being a 12oz gi I find it just to my liking, if your also looking for a high quality gi that's not a 14oz but not an 8oz then this could be the gi for you! id recommend this gi to anyone from beginner to instructor and beyond. I find the gi doesn't restrict my movement at all. Highly recommeneded. I'm very happy!
