Top customer reviewsBy Mohiuddin on 11th January 2019 I bought this and I was in two minds at first. I first read the reviews and I though buy it and try it. And I absolutely love it. By D T on 28th June 2018 Great product to improve flexibility. Build quality is fine for the price. I have used it countless times now, and it shows no signs of wear and tear. So I can say this is a great alternative to the hydraulic pump type that cots hundreds. By Carl on 19th November 2017 Great By Alex S. on 15th May 2017 This is a good product. The only small thing to say about it is the foam around the foot placements rips a bit easily. Also I think for people like me who have a good level of splits flexibility it's difficult to actually reach that complete 180 degrees as your feet end up just slipping off the ends. But it's certainly a vital tool for improving your splits flexibility anyway! By Miguel Peixoto on 26th June 2016 I like it but I have to use a dumbell when using it to maintain it down. By Libertine99 on 9th May 2016 Not really for beginners I would say By Agirlwithoutaname on 19th April 2016 This product is built sturdy and works as advertised. It's a nice product. 5 stars for the product and it's performance only! No stars for packaging from the seller. The problem I had was with the packaging from the seller. 2 plastic caps on the foot posts and a metal cap on one of the top bolts was broken off. A little newspaper or bubble wrap would have gone a long way! The only reason's I didn't return the product was 1) because of the hassle of returning it from my country and 2) fortunately, the broken pieces did not affect the the usability of the product. By ash on 20th February 2016 I had great hopes for this leg stretcher as I to have a very tight calves, hamstrings and lower back. This arrived and it has taken me a while to get used to using it, given I have very little flexibility to start with.Over all the item is good, great concept and will continue to use it, but be aware not to over do it and risk injuries. By Erika on 15th January 2016 Does the job that many more expensive pieces of equipment do - helps me stretch out my inner leg and groin area. I dance and do martial arts, and find these are my tighted areas, so needed something to help with some extra streghting at home.Item can lift up in the middle as you pull it towards you if there is too much weight in your legs, but I find no issue if I lift up slightly as I pull further in.One point of note is that I use it on a floor with a smooth surface. If you were to use on carpet, it may be extremely difficult to pull in - so I would check other reviews to see others experience on this! By biggun87 on 16th December 2015 Meh, its OK... for the money but not very effective. By Ashley on 6th December 2015 You need to be quite flexible to begin with to use this. Not just in the legs but in your hips as well. If not the device doesn't work as the smaller angles (legs apart) & restrictions placed on it (when reaching forward to grab the handle you need to pull straight back with no upwards force) stop it from working. This is why the machines with wheels are so much more expensive, they can be used for beginners. By wayan rooney on 2nd December 2015 It works well once you get use2 it very pleased with it.💪 By sara on 16th November 2015 VERY GOOD FOR OPENING THE HIP. By Little Raven on 18th October 2015 Great product. There are a number of salient facts that need to be borne in mind: (1) Don't expect miracles. This is a simple device but well thought out and executed. (2) This is not going to do anything that couldn't be done using body weight alone but if, like me, you're a little on the heavy side, it allows much easier stretching. (3) In terms of cost, simplicity, storage, portability and ease of use, there are none better. Finally, I have had no issue with the pull bar lifting the whole device. I'm a big chap with heavy legs so I have to pull pretty hard and had no problems. I might suggest to a previous reviewer that he address the vector along which he is pulling. In short, you really couldn't find a better product. By jcomid on 7th August 2015 I am martial art instructor and highly recommend it for anyone to try improve them split. It is great item. By mason on 3rd August 2015 Brilliant fantastic price of equipment. By Emma Lloyd on 9th May 2015 This is an excellent product that does what is says on the tin once you've worked out the technique. However, we did have to make a couple of adaptations as the hand grips kept sliding off which wasn't too difficult. It could be argued that it's not padded enough on the legs but it didn't bother me too much. By shaun on 24th April 2015 Good bit of kit By graham white on 25th February 2015 good value but if used on a carpet ,it can snag By Ben R. on 21st February 2015 love it By carl rodda on 14th November 2014 Does the job, just. Be careful where you use it as the bolts that stick out have torn carpet. By Emily Ratcliff on 24th September 2014 I purchased these for my partner as he does his own mixed martial arts, he found these really usefull and easy to use. I liked them as they're not too big when fully stretched out so they do not take up loads of space. He also mentioned that because they have padding on the handle and the leg rest, this makes them more comfortable and easier to use for longer use. These are not the high end leg stretchers but for the price of these you really can't complain, if you are looked for something to do the job for a good price you can't go wrong with these.Delivery was good too, no bumps or scratches. Arrived in really good time too. By HeavyMehul on 17th September 2014 This really does work. If you're struggling to stretch those extra few inches, this really can make that difference. Helps with keeping your knee higher through kicks from the extra flexibility that inevitably ensues By Asa L on 10th July 2014 Good for a basic leg stretcher By CDB on 6th July 2014 Thought it would make my legs longer.Read instructions. By John Harrison on 28th November 2013 Before buying this I was over the moon about this product as I am a regular customer of Blitz products and there wasn't much apprehension about this product so I was more than happy to buy it. Great, light weight, effective, well built, relatively strong. But one MASSIVE issue... the actual gripper that you pull towards you that in turn widens the arms of the leg stretcher causes the entire thing to lift off the floor. IF weight was added by Blitz to this it would most definitely get 5 stars You can improvise and stick a few 15/20kg plates down, underneath the leg stretcher and tie the weights to weigh it down but it's quite annoying. If it were a better design or at least weighed where it needs to be I'd give it 3 stars. It's is portable and very light though and that's obviously great but for actual use it's a bit of an issue. Also because of the way it is made it's pretty near impossible to think of a good way to weight it as the arms need to move in order that you get a good stretch so weighing it from the top is completely ineffective. IF you weight it from the bottom however, that's really the only alternative. Such a shame to give it a 3 but that's being generous. Rarely use it now too. By Trevor Robinson on 8th November 2013 I have been Doing Martial Arts for 42 years I am 53 and very high graded in 12 martial arts so when I buy something related to Martial I expect it to be good and designed by people that have rigorously tested the product. They obviously haven't. This leg stretcher should work on any floor?I like to stretch every day usually while watching a movie so in my living roomSo the first thing I did was try it out and to my surprise it would not move on my carpet it would not budge at all. What ever I did. Because the rubber cuffs that are under the feet (with the weight of the legs on the them) just stuck there like glue.So when you pulled on the middle pole the hole thing just cantilevered up into the air.So these cuffs had to go. Other wise I could not see it working at all.As soon as I removed them (they just slide off) it worked perfectly and I am now enjoying the use of this stretcher everyday. The construction is sturdy and looks like it will last a long time. The price was a bit high for 3 pieces of tubing and a bracket But Martial arts equipment is usually very over priced anyway.Overall reasonable price works well (with modification!) and was delivered very quicklyI may do a video review. By Joe Mason on 12th September 2013 Been using this everyday for a few weeks now and it really helps to stretch your legs out. It's a fairly simple piece of equipment, so don't expect anything outstanding. It does what it needs to and won't set you back the £200 that the advanced models will.If you want higher kicks or just to do the splits, this is what you need! By Braincat on 11th August 2013 I've only ever used mechanical/hydraulic stretchers before, so was a bit dubious about this. It is however really good, and I do like the fact that your arms and upper body are being used as well so you're always working against yourself. Takes a bit of getting used to to stop the front end lifting up, but you'll get the hang of it. The only negative is that the foam padding is a bit thin, and it was hurting my feet and ankles whilst holding the stretch. I removed them and put the thicker foam bits from my sit-up bench on instead. By JayB on 5th August 2013 actually ordered this after seeing a video of someone using them on youtube, they are great for split training and have increase my flexibility in a few short weeks, there are many types of this product (which i haven't tried) on the market but this is very good for the money, seller was efficient in delivery By Antonio on 15th June 2013 It does the job, not very sturdy or good looking device. The screws get loose often. Not worth 20 for sure. By M. MASTERS on 26th March 2013 Works very well. You need to take care to not push yourself.I do Martial arts so my flexablity has incressed.I like to use if for about 10 mins a day a least a nice long strech.Great item! By Ant71 on 27th December 2012 A simple but effective product that does the jobLike any such product you just need to be disciplined enough to use it By Harry Osler on 1st December 2012 A good price and very effective, extremely fast flexibility gains. Paint scratches off fast with use, but the rest is sturdy. By Harry Osler on 5th November 2012 Its so effective, so quick, I would call it essential for leg flexibility. Appears weak but is perfectly sturdy. Has holes along the middle bar to shorten it so you can go all the way to a 180 degree split. By J. Roberts on 9th December 2009 i got this for my son,i was very surprised at how fast this was delivered.my son is only 11 and he does kickboxing, the coach said he would benefit from this.its basic but does the trick.without paying out a fortune.overall worth the money.if you are on a wage that restricts your spending.thanks.
